My son and daughter are so very different. From day one everything from their personalities to the things that caught their attention were different. My oldest daughter, at her first Christmas she was only 4 months old and when she opened her gifts and saw clothes her face lit up. My son always has and still does toss clothes aside. That of course is just one of many many examples.
So, that being said, what took place yesterday afternoon really showed the difference between boys and girls.
I decided it would be fun to make sugar cookies as a special treat for the Super Bowl game. Finally, after putting the cookies in the oven to bake I said, "Okay, guys you can go in the other room and watch the football game now." My son turns around without a word and takes off running to watch the game. My daughter walks over, sits down on the floor in front of the oven and says, "No thanks. I will just watch the cookies grow!"
What could I say? All I could do was chuckle and say, "Okay, sweetheart."
